You remind me of the babe - WHAT BABE?! The babe with the power - WHAT POWER?! The power of voodoo - WHO DO?! You do - DO WHAT?! Remind me of the babe! I HEARD MAH BABY... etc. etc. I can be so cruel. Revealing spandex. Goblin King. Swamp of Eternal Stench. Evil villain with hilarious sexual undertones etc. etc.
I'm Billy. I run MM. If you have any problems or questions, let me know. MM is what you make it, no matter what your experience level. It helps a whole lot if you're based in Scotland, mind you.
I like being involved in video productions in whatever proximity I can. I love it so much - it's a complete privilege to be able to do stuff like this. I like to make music. I like to write. I even like to act, though I'm really bad at it, but enjoy hamming things up.
I think the way forward for everybody is to get a good group together. Hence I dreamed up Media Muppet. For the record, I really hate the name Media Muppet. I wish I had never chosen it lol.
Experience
Involved in videos for Teenage Cancer Trust (camera/editor), ShiftShack (co-director/camera/editor), Edinburgh Youth Cafe (sound), Napier University (researcher), Stevenson College Edinburgh (Various). Involved in over thirty productions of both student and professional nature. Two short films shown at the Edinburgh Filmhouse in 2007 and 2008 respectively as part of student showreels.

hey Billy - as far as I know Brass Monkey are very easy going and generally helpful with that sort of thing. Some friends of mine run the edinburgh zombie club and screen zombie films every fortnight (or every month -can't remember!) - but the deal was they pay a small one-off deposit, and if they can spend at least £30 on the bar they need pay no more! Between 10 people that's a pint each! So definitely go for it and contact them - it's a nice pub with a good atmosphere. Great idea to create a platform for screening work that isn't ready to be screened elsewhere. I also recommend feedback screenings of cuts that could be improved - it's a great way to create an opportunity for discussion and improve your final cut! Let me know how it goes... :)
ah well, no problem sir. Shall give the gig a shot myself but I'm certainly intending to leave that scene behind. Editing 30+ live videos starts to get to you...
Im good!

Yeah, the Muppet would be a good platform to show case "12:40". I am unsure how to do so as the file is not an Avi, rather a WM file.
With regards to other items on the agenda - I mentuioned to Craig McFarlane, and think i briefly spoke to you about it in the gallery once, bout my idea of two warring brothers. I went past my intended location today and it has the potential to be a work of art.
When it goes into production( most likely very early 09 ) I would very much like you to be involved. Your technical expertise would be worth its weight.
I would very much like to get involved. It would be well worth experimenting with. I had thought about using a similar principal for my minor proj to overcome the space issue raised during the pitch. Will try to keep those evenings free.
I am touched by your warm and hearty welcome, Billy. Most kind of you. lol.
I have been in correspondance with the organisers of Meniscus Film Festival - whom I submitted "Anticipation: The 12:40" to. The film has been accepted and has been entered into the screening on the night of Sat 15th Nov - which i am greatly pleased by. It will be subject to voting and there is an Oscars style bash being thrown. I won't be able to attend the screening in Grimsby, which is a shame because the opportunity to network in person would be great.
I plan to keep in touch with the organisers regardless of the result and mention the Muppet to them. Have given the organisers a brief acceptance speech should I win.
I am also considering entering the film in to the Scottish Film and Screen ( deadline end of Dec). Put in in with other films and see what the reaction is.
