Thanks for the comment!!! We will be doing a mini premiere in Edinburgh sometime early January (every one is invited). The film still has a month to be completed but it’s pretty much done..

Lookin' pretty good! Where will we be able to see the finished film? Soundtrack was quite awesome as well \m/
Hey all, cheers for the comments. This version of the trailer has been updated (its different from the YouTube trailer; more sound design has been added with the help of a guy call Fred Deer who will be scoring the film. I decided to put this version on Media Muppet)
The trailer has been put together from shots that I have already edited together, I have still not done the colour correction or sound design yet so what you are all seeing is just the rough shots.
The trailer was merely made on the quick for the actors, to give them something to chew on while I still edit.
Cheers for all the comments and constructive criticism, its really helpful. I will keep ppl up to date with all the happenings for the film.
I'm glad you have posted the trailer here, Ian. Of course YouTube is a huge site where you'll get lots of hits, but the idea is that Media Muppet will offer more in-depth feedback and more support.
Anyway, I enjoy the trailer. We are eased in with the Witch Tree Films logo and some ambience, then a few sound bytes accompanied by intriguing shots such as someone running through a forest, people with bloody faces, and a man holding deer antlers like a weapon. So far, so good. Then a scary, ugly beast pops up for a split second, and we get some more chaotic looking shots in a woodland, alongside information on who directed the film, and who stars. And then with 'WALKERS' the aggressive music kicks in. So far it's apparent to me that this is a well paced trailer, which isn't giving too much away. What are Walkers, and why are they reducing people to gibbering bloody messes? Good. The blood here in this film looks very realistic - a good job has been done of make-up, and that is clear for all to see. The music is good and sets the pace for excitement. It is a trailer which will get people interested in the film.
As far as constructive criticism, I think depth of field would have brought out the best in some of these shots seen in the trailer. The one that comes to mind is when the bloodied girl is clasping her hands to her mouth in shock. To have 'blurred' those trees would have been awesome. I also wasn't too keen on the scream-echo sound-effect thing which accompanied the shot of the wide-eyed and bloodied girl. The other sounds in the background here were excellent, and it would all be as effective without the scream.
Nonetheless, those are minor niggles, and this is something I'm looking forward to seeing. It looks like good fun, and I'm sure it will be great! I would be inclined to play around with the brightness and contrast parameters of whatever editing package you're using, to get some nice picture results. :)
