A very well structured and editted film. Loved the monochrome shots, which gave the piece a texture of grit. Some well orchestrated techniques with camera, the pulling focus and the intentional lack of clarity in pivitol elements of the frame. The e…
I can tell already from what you have said that your a true independent filmmaker. You like to write, produce and direct and you should keep believing in what you enjoy doing the most.
Personally I think it depends on what area you want to go into. Mot professional bodies expect you to go in as a runner and work up, you can learn alot starting at grass roots level. When it comes to certain area's like costume and make up practical…
I read or heard something the other day that was completely relevant to this topic. I meant to post it up at the time and have now helpfully forgot what it was...sorry...
I found that after finishing my HND i still had a lot to learn in the field. The course in AVT was really good and helped me to get an understanding on the theory of the subject. But this is just the start of your learning curve. Once i started work…
Good answer, Phil - the worst thing anyone can do in any creative industry is sit on their hands, that goes for anyone in film, music, writing, art etc. You can't wait for someone to just give you a plum job, you have to prove yourself first and if…
Jack of all trades-That's me in a nutshell. But i do have an idea at the end. Did HND Tv Operations and just handing out CVs to production companies, requesting work as runner, to get your'e foot in the door. In the meantime, im just working on my o…
A big fan of all things TV and film, I am one of these fellas who is missed when absent, being well over 6ft that is hardly surprising. I like coming up with ideas and narrative dramas and stories ( I am never without a notepad for scribbling down the od kernal or satelite ) but am always willing to throw myself behind other peoples ideas and work on them so we all get the best result possible.
My ongoing task is to gather and soak up experience, what ever the role may be - during my studys of Television at college I have done everything from camera to lights to acting to chief dishwasher. But I'm not done yet, the more experience the better. We're only at the beginning of the rainbow.

Best of luck with that, Craig. I think it'll appeal to the audience, and I do believe the Meniscus Film Festival competition winners are decided by the audience, which is great.
I'm going to take my green screen into college and shoot a couple of things with it - the primary aim being to use green screen effectively. Trying to amass a rag-tag crew, made-up mainly from NQs. Hoping for Tuesday and Thursday evenings so keep that in mind if it's something you're interested in.
