I know this is an older post, and I don't know if you've had any success yet.
But it's worth noting that since the Violent Crime Reduction Act came into force, it's much more difficult to get a hold of them.
Your best bet is to speak to your local…
Thanks for the kind words guys, always nice to hear. Ill be posting any new work here. On my website theres a wee bit more about Dark Places, including photos and deleted scenes - www.zmoproductions.co.uk. Cheers.
A very well structured and editted film. Loved the monochrome shots, which gave the piece a texture of grit. Some well orchestrated techniques with camera, the pulling focus and the intentional lack of clarity in pivitol elements of the frame. The e…
Its a tale of interdimensional addiction with the chance of redemption. Every time it happens, there's always a task.
One I done before Dark Places. Done pretty well at some festivals.
Hey luv - i really love your camera and editing style, you were the camera man? I'm doing a film for my fourth year project but i'm absolutely pish at camera work - think you could give me any tips on using apature etc? or unless i'm pushing my luck…
Hey guys I'm in need of a real looking replica pistol for my new movie "Can't See Me" but I'm having trouble finding anything for under a hundred quid. Anyone know where I could get one for a bit less? Cheers.
Making movies and taking photos is my thing ever since I picked up a Pentax SLR aged 12.
Experience
Started making films for a laugh a few years ago then decided to approach it with a modicum of seriousness. Since then I’ve had reasonable success with a few shorts. The Void made the last 8 of the Triggerstreet festival (which got me in the papers!) and featured in festivals over the globe – USA, Australia and Ireland. A really short short called Blank I made ended up in the last 30 of the Virgin Online Shorts thing. My most recent one (Dark Places in the Sunshine) needs to see some exposure. See www.zmoproductions.co.uk for more.
Hey Chris. Thought you might be interested in submitting "Dark Places..." to this event in China. I immediately thought of 'Dark Places' with regards to the brief, due to the lack of dialogue etc.
As for the MM Screenings... hopefully in the coming months lol.
Hi Chris! It may well be the case that you'll be busy with other projects, but I thought I'd make you aware of the initial 'feeling things out/early days' phase for the next MM production. You can view the post on the discussion forum by clicking here. I should be boring and stress that no immediate action is planned, and that this is just me trying to gauge interest levels. Cheers!
Hey Chris, that's fantastic news! I've added a little bit to the main page of the site about the film and the screening, and can also write something up for the November newsletter if you wish.
If you were ever wondering, the fabled MM Screening still hasn't happened yet. You might have heard in the news about all the bother with student loans etc. - I'm a victim of that lol. As soon as the student financial people have sorted out all the mess and I'm a little more 'financially stable' I should be able to concentrate a little more on the Screenings, should you still want "Dark Places..." to be a part of it.
All the best at the Palme-Dewar anyway. "Dark Places..." is a hit with the MM members! :D
Hey, Chris - yeah that's fine! :D I'm moving it all back, I think the negatives out-weigh the pluses of trying to do something like this during festival time - for me anyway, working alone. If you still need the application form I'll put it back online when I get home. Had forgotten I'd taken it off the site. =/ Have a good one!

No worries, Chris. I'm gonna 'relax' that 15th July deadline date as I've had a hectic couple of weeks myself. So no need to rush with a submission. Have a good one!

Hey Chris! Welcome to MM and thanks for joining. I'm Billy and I run the site - hopefully it'll prove useful to you as time goes on. If you have any news or info to pass on about Dark Places in the Sunshine - or anything else - just let me know and I can stick it on the main page, or in one of our newsletters etc. Have a good one! :)
