I teach some Media Muppets at Stevenson College... But soon, they will be teaching me - no doubt! I make shorts and aspire to make features. I also like Tetley tea and Hobnob milk-chocolate-covered biscuits!
Experience
STV, Capture productions, Besom Productions, freelance camera/editing and short films. Recent shorts: The Flyer [EIFF 2008 and Bafta Scotland - yay!] and My Imprisoned Heart, episode one - [EIFF 2007 and Sky Propeller] - first feature Out My Window in the pipeline (that's what they all say, right!).

Hey Andrea, hope you're well and all is good and busy down in London!! :D I have been accepted into Stirling Uni and QMU. Fraser the Lec' said you were at QMU and I was just wondering what you thought of it? I quite fancy it but nobody seems to have anything good to say about the place lol.
Also waiting to hear back from ECA but doubt I'll get in there as the interview was a nightmare. I think they made up their mind about me as soon as I blurted out that the last film I saw was Paul Blart: Mall Cop. The akward silence which ensued was golden. Funny. Take care anyhow!
Hello Andrea, hope you're well. I was wanting to ask something when I bumped into you yesterday but I hate that little staff room thing lol. I was wanting to use somewhere like Brass Monkeys or Jekyll & Hyde to do screenings, ideally a couple of times a year, for short films that - in the unharshest sense of the word - would not quite be good enough (for whatever reason) to be picked up anywhere else. I thought this would be a good direction to take the site and be a good thing for people on various counts, submitting their work and seeing it on a big screen before a baying mob. Alas I'm not really sure where to start, if it's possible or if I'm overlooking something? Anything you have to say would be much apre'd! :)
Thanks Andrea, that means a lot! =] Well I only wish I had gotten to work with you beyond the NQ - you would've been awesome for HNC/D. I have a lot to thank you for actually. Alas you're back to being a student, which must be fun and a bit scary. Best of luck, obviously. Random fact 1: I saw and enjoyed The Flyer. Random fact 2: I just made a very shit - yet pleasing - steadicam by placing my camera in a large frying pan and securing it with duct tape. The result is... surprisingly good. But at NFTS you'll hopefully never have to resort to this method! ;) Have a good one, and thank you!
Thanks for rejoining and showing your support, Andrea!! :D Just finished my first day back at college - I do love the constant building-site theme at Stevenson! Take care!!
