MUCKi allows you - as a member of MM - to create and share your own content here on the site. The idea is to have a wealth of valuable, interactive content here on the site which you guys can create and share, in addition to all the usual MM features such as downloads, opportunity listings and forums. This makes the site more
yours, which was always the intention. You can create and upload:
- Pages
- Videos
- Images
- Blogs
- Events
Pages
Create a MUCKi page (or network of pages, ala a 'microsite') on anything you want. This MUCKi page can:
- Promote your film/photography/band/other talent.
- Be a tutorial on a subject you specialise in (Photoshop, sound recording, performing etc.)
- Make others aware of projects you want them to be involved with.
- Be your own personal opinion column, if you feel like getting on your soapbox! ;)
- Be a microsite for your production group. Provide details on recent going-ons.
- And more. Including random, jovial nonsense (in moderation -
winky winky...).
You can even give your MUCKi page its own discussion forum, comment wall, and members area. You can invite members to join your MUCKi, and see how popular it becomes. You can set your MUCKi to private or public. Who knows, the potential is there for you to create a MUCKi which is even more popular than MM is!
Videos
You can upload videos to Media Muppet straight from your computer, or you can simply link your videos from other sites such as YouTube. Other users can rate and comment on your videos, hopefully resulting in some feedback for you.
Images
MUCKi Image allows you to upload your photography, graphics and other images you have created. Much the same idea as with videos, other users can rate and review your work.
Blogs
Write a blog - go on! Simple. ;)
Events
Use MUCKi events to inform other members of all sorts of happenings.
And all these five categories can be combined to create some pretty cool results. Like I said, you can potentially create your own microsite using MUCKi. HTML, widgets, file downloads/sharing (legal), and all that good stuff.
So there you have it, that's the concept of MUCKi in a nutshell. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you use it! No doubt some fine-tuning will be required, but that's cool. Any questions or comments, let me know.

PS: MUCKi = Mass User Content Knowledge - I.
"I" as in me, you and everybody. MUCKi is my own term - think it'll catch on? lol...
