For those who don't already know, Media Muppet is going on hiatus until late August. I'm going to use that time to build this place into what I think it should be, rather than what it is currently. Feel free to continue posting, and new members are always welcome. But we're building towards a huge launch in August, and until then Media Muppet is officially on hiatus. Last night was a great night for all involved, with some terrific films shown! Of the 23 films which were shown last night at the Edinburgh Filmhouse, four came from Media Muppet members, and two of those Muppet members then went on to win awards for their films. Dave Stewart won best technical for "Broken Beneath" (which he had prior posted here on Media Muppet for feedback - bless), whilst James McErlean won best in show for 'Pizza Boy.' Hello, folks! It's still early days, but I really think we're building something pretty special here. Media Muppet can be really slow sometimes (especially weekends). Other times it seems everyone is online, posting away on here, being a right bunch of dirty little muppets! Hi, folks! So, I got my big magic iron, and smoothed out some of the niggling little flaws plaguing the site. I also finally got around to adding categories to the forum, so everything is just that little bit more clear and cosise. People can now feel free to contribute to job listings, notify other members of media contests, events and other opportunities. Here's hoping you all make the most of this.
